Digital Photo Size
If you are uploading a digital photo, it must be a minimum of 300 DPI — depending on the software you use to preview or print your photos, this information can usually be found under "Size" or "Resize" on the Tool Bar.
The actual print size (dimensions) of the photo must be at least the same size of the print area of the tile. It can be larger — we will adjust the size if necessary. The print size cannot be smaller then print area, otherwise the file will break up and lose sharpness.
Horizontal vs. Vertical Photos
Please note we cannot take a horizontal photo and use it on a vertical design and vice versa, unless there is sufficient area in the photo to crop. Again, the area cropped must be the proper dimension in inches to fit the print area, as noted above.
If you request that we crop your photo to fit the print area, we will send you a digital PDF or JPG of the layout for your approval, prior to producing your order.
Charges for Retouching Your Original Photos
Please note, scanning your original photographs or letters is included in the stated price on each item ordered as is slight darkening or lightening of backgrounds. If after scanning your originals it is determined retouching your photo will make for a crisper, cleaner reproduction, there may be a nominal charge. We will advise you prior to retouching if there will be an additional cost and request your approval to proceed.
Color and Printing Quality
Due to the nature of the sublimation process there may be a slight shift in color versus your original graphic or as you see it on your computer screen. We use only first quality products, however, the process involves a heat press so the finished product may not appear as sharp as your original.
